GRANDMA'S BIRTHDAY

HEY, WE ARE MEETING AT GRANDMA'S HOUSE THURDAY (23RD) AT 6:30 FOR CAKE AND ICE CREAM.

WE ARE LEAVING FOR CALIFORNIA THAT DAY SO WE WON'T BE ABLE TO MAKE IT BUT I SAID I WOULD GET THE WORD OUT.

SUMMER FUN!!

Our girls sure are loving our pool!! Here are some pictures of their get togethers they have had this summer. Although I am learning when Ashlynn says she wants a "few" people to come over that usually means around 10??!!

The other pictures are Ashlynn at the lake. A friend of hers had his birthday party at the lake and she had a great time.

Family Visit

Doug's mom and sister Tracy came to visit us from Georgia and we were so excited that Michael, Angie, Chloe and Craig could see them while they were here.

Isn't Chloe just the cutest little girl you have ever seen!!!!! I told Angie that she looks like the Gerber baby, and she said that people tell her that all the time. She is so sweet and was so good even though she hadn't had a nap all day.

I was so glad that we had that cooling trend while Doug's mom and Tracy were here. It was so nice to see them and spend time together.

ASHLYNN'S NEW DO

Ash has been wanting to cut her hair and I kept telling her "no." Finally I said "okay" but I won't do it. So her cousin Jess did and it looks amazing--I love it. I about freaked out when she did the first cut (she cut off like 12 inches). But Ashlynn loves it and got a lot of compliments on it today.

Maybe someday I can be an amazing stylist like Jess!!

OUR FABULOUS CRUISE!!

We had a great time on our cruise. I wish we could have gotten off in Ensenada Mexico, but no cruises were stopping at any Mexican ports because of the Swine Flu. So we just had another "fun day at sea". We did stop at Catalina which was nice, but very expensive and there wasn't that much to see. We did find time to eat PLENTY of food. I know why they have ramps leading off the ship--it is to roll you off.

It was so nice to get away and just relax. We are already thinking of our next cruise--Alaska!!!

It was pretty cold on the boat and our cabin didn't have a heater?? I guess we will have to splurge next time and go for that upgrade. I did pretty well not getting sunburned (it helped that I had my jacket on the whole time) but I did manage to get pretty well fried in two spots---my ankles and lips???!!! I woke up Thursday and felt like Bubba from Forest Gump. I already have big lips to begin with and after they were burned--wow, it looked like a lip injection gone wrong.

The girls had fun staying with their friends and it was nice knowing they were having a good time as well.

Just an update to let you know that Ashlynn won SophOmore class secretary. She is really excited and we are proud of her.

VOTE FOR ASHLYNN!!

Ashlynn is running for sophomore secretary. Her slogan is--One vision, one passion, vote for Ashlynn and she is handing out sunglasses. You can't see too well but on the lenses it says "vote for Ash". The funny part was that when she was making the sign she spelled secretary wrong. For those of you that know me-- know she really did get that from her mother!!!!

Wow--just realized that she really DID spell sophomore wrong. CRAP!! I was doing Sarah's hair last night while she was working on it and I didn't notice it. Hopefully since it is on the side people won't notice--SINCE IT IS ALREADY UP AT SCHOOL. AGHHHHHHHH.
